Humble - Houston BBQ Festival 2025

Houston BBQ Festival 2025 provided another successful day of eating amazing Texas BBQ, not a single bad bite!  We love seeing so many small towns putting out their unique twist like Buc-ee's Beaver Nuggets on Daddy Duncan's BBQ and beans, brisket tamales with queso, chorizo grits and tallow with smoked pork belly to name a few.  We couldn't eat at all of the offerings, but glad we got to Tejas Chocolate and BBQ since they ran out last year - the chili relleno sausage and pork belly were good, but it was the banana foster chocolate shooter that was one of my favorites!  The longest lines were Houston's own Blood Brothers and Burnt Bean from Seguin.  The best part was seeing so many happy people in one place from the pitmasters and their crew to us lucky guests who all had full happy bellies.

I'm inspired to make what I ate like the pickled red onion beets, jalapeno cheddar cornbread and maybe grits.

Buckee's is always a must stop for bathroom breaks, snacks and enjoying the Easter decorations.
