Gonzalez is the place to go if you appreciate Texas history.  We went for the celebration of the famous cannon in the fall, check the  Gonzalez website for dates.  It was fun to walk around and find a small replica the dogs enjoyed checking out.  The enormous flag doesn't show well in photos, the size is breathtaking to see in person.  They really do things big in Texas, especially flags.
