Kalbi - Korean short ribs
Was happy to find Korean style beef short ribs at the market and had to fill the craving for Kalbi, kimchi and rice, perfect bite of smokey tender ribs with the pungent spiciness of the kimchi tempered with rice. This is a fast cook at a high temperature, dinner in minutes!
Ingredient
- Beef short ribs 5 lbs.
- Shoyu 1 1/2 C
- Monk Fruit (or Sugar) 1/2 C
- Sesame Oil 1/8 C
- Garlic head minced
- Ginger grated 4 T
- Black pepper to taste
Directions
- Combine ingredients to make sauce and marinate a few hours or overnight.
- Set smoker to 450 F.
- Remove ribs from marinade and place on hot grill about 4-5 minutes per side, depending on thickness. These taste better well done, than medium rare, it will be too chewy.
