I love living in Texas where world favors come here!  I'm not familiar with German food but know what flavorful food tastes like and this is a hidden gem in a small town just northwest of Austin.  The Schnitzel with grilled onions and mushrooms and herbed butter spätzle hit the spot.  They know how to deep fry meat and season pasta.  There was a pastry display case but was too full and had to get the blackberry pastry to go.  It had the perfect balance of fruit filling to pastry.  There was a small selection of German food products and had to pick up a few items. 

The best part about small town restaurants is the hospitality and the care taken to prepare the food.  Will definitely go back for the pretzels, since they were sold out.
