Ramen Del Barrio - North Austin
We first ate here when they opened in Hana World a few years ago, love the story of cooking ramen in his garage to being recognized by the Michelin guide. Their ramen is even better than before and we timed it well with just one couple in front of us. These are our favorite kind of places to eat, good food done well blending the best flavors of Mexican and Japanese. Plus I can pick up a few things at Hana World like long Korean chopsticks for deep frying and other handy utensils.
We had the Pozole Tonkatsu and the Chilaquiles Men (dry noodles, no broth) with the green sauce and onsen egg since the red sauce may be too spicy for me. The flavors are perfectly balanced and perfect for a cold day to warm up my belly.
