The best small hidden gems seem to be open on the weekends only.  El Grandpa's limited hours means they take great pride in the food they make and enjoy sharing their joy with hungry customers like us.  They built their own BBQ pit above ground that takes 4 hours to heat before setting the various proteins in.  Traditionally they would be cooking in the ground, but since it's not allowed, they made it work to their advantage.  We talked about how in Hawaii we would dig a hole in the ground with hot stones and banana leaves to cook a pig and the similarities of cultures and seasonings. 

The end product is tender protein with perfect condiments on the table.  The green sauce was like a nice dipping sauce with the fresh cilantro and onions.  We had the barbacoa, montalayo and tongue tacos.  First time having a tongue taco and really enjoyed it.  The lamb sausage was also flavorful and filling.  Definitely worth the trip and trust the GPS to get you there and look for the barbacoa banner and follow your nose to the trailer to order amazing tacos!
